For Edward Said

This work is a poetic reflection on the Palestinian academic and author of Orientalism, Edward Said, and his relationship to music. The work combines Philip Glass style minimalism with elements of Electronic Soundscape to create a dream-like reimagining of his journey from his home in Cairo to New York for his professorship at Columbia University. The work includes quotes from Edward Said’s Orientalism, along with his reviews on contemporary pianism of his time.
